Serving People had a viewing and discussion of the controversial movie “From Hebrews to Negroes,” in celebration of Black History Month. Interested participants addressed the various historical references of the film. The film looked at the history of the lost tribes of Israel and how it correlated to the Africans brought to America. It also identified the Natives already present in America prior to colonization and their historical background. The film spurred deep conversations on its subject matter. Participants freely spoke on their opinions wanting more conversations offered. Due to popular demand, part two of the discussion is being held to flush out any new reflections.
